Née au Québec1990— CV Français CV English Instagram Brise-glaceContact Artiste et autrice, j’exerce ma pratique poétique à travers les champs de l’écriture, de la photographie, de l’art visuel et du graphisme. En 2021, j’ai complété ma maîtrise à la Glasgow School of Art (Royaume-Uni) avec distinction. Mes projets et livres d’artistes ont été présentés au Canada, au Royaume-Uni, en Allemagne, en Estonie et en France dans le cadre d’expositions individuelles et collectives, ainsi que dans des foires de livres. Mes essais et poèmes ont été publiés chez&nbsp;Estuaire, Tristesse, Cigale et OMRI. En 2019, j’ai initié le projet d’autoédition Brise-glace dont les recherches abordent l'autofiction, l’image photographique et l’écriture erratique ayant pour visée l’élaboration d’une nouvelle nomenclature nordique.&nbsp;Ma pratique interdisciplinaire gravite essentiellement autour de l’écriture, la photographie et l’autoédition, mais aborde aussi la céramique, le dessin, la performance, la vidéo et l'installation. Dans mes projets, j’emploie plusieurs stratégies littéraires et visuelles pour expérimenter l’autofiction. Les textes et les images (photographiques) à travers lesquels je me mets en scène composent des récits sensibles et mouvants se situant à la rencontre du réel et de l’imaginaire. En déformant, inventant et amplifiant mon vécu, je m’attarde à la mise en fiction de mes expériences personnelles pour élaborer des œuvres dans lesquelles les repères se profilent et s’effacent continuellement. La vérité et l’illusion sont des sujets intimement liés aux politiques de la représentation dans ma démarche autobiographique. La posture plurielle que j’adopte dans mes œuvres revendique la liberté d’explorer l’espace de l’imaginaire de la même façon que j’explore l’espace géographique : en étant sans cesse en mouvement. En ce sens, la relation avec le territoire et l’autonomie féministe habitent aussi intuitivement mes œuvres. Artist and writer, I span my poetic practice through the fields of writing, photography, visual art and graphic design. In 2021, I completed an MFA at the Glasgow School of Art (UK) with distinction. My projects and artists' books have been exhibited in Canada, the UK, Germany, Estonia and France in solo and group shows and book fairs. My essays and poems have been published by Estuaire, Tristesse, Cigale and OMRI. In 2019, I initiated the self-publishing project Brise-glace whose research deals with autofiction, photographic image and erratic writing aiming at the development of a new Nordic nomenclature.My multidisciplinary practice revolves mainly around writing, photography and self-publishing but also includes ceramics, drawing, performance, video and installation. In my project, I use several literary and visual strategies to experiment with autofiction. The texts and (photographic) images through which I stage myself compose sensitive and moving narratives situated at the meeting of reality and imagination. By distorting, inventing and amplifying my life events, I focus on the fictionalization of my personal experiences to elaborate works in which the reference points are continually emerging and disappearing. Truth and illusion are subjects intimately linked to the politics of representation in my autobiographical process. The plural posture I adopt in my work asserts the freedom to explore the space of the imagination in the same way I explore geographical space: by being constantly on the move. la Côte-Nord du Québec. Dans la répétition des saisons qui passent et fuient, l'absence devient à la fois un référent spatial et social. Dans le poème servant d’amorce au récit visuel, Rivard révèle en l'absence sa capacité à incarner un lieu pour s'inventer illimitée, puisque toujours ailleurs. La série photographique raconte son périple dans la saison froide, où l'absence se transforme en repère pour l'artiste : l'absence, un royaume qui, invisible, se définit à perpétuité. In the repetition of the passing and fleeing seasons, the absence becomes both a spatial and social referent. In the French beginning poem, Rivard reveals in the absence her capacity to embody a place in order to invent herself unlimited, since always elsewhere. The photographic series recounts her journey into the cold season, where the absence becomes a location for the artist: the absence, a realm that, invisible, defines itself in perpetuity. Comparable to a logbook, the photographies explore the specificities of the idea of a place and the act of telling oneself. The project consists of multiple books in a modular open-source format that can be merged together as interleaved books. The project aims at questioning narrative book structures, the position of author, reader and subject, and seeks to experiment with the medium of a book as a curatorial and inspirational device. It cuts loose from authorial or unambiguous curatorial intentions and underlines the importance of gaps in between the material and the attempts to stitch them together.Artists and writers were invited to design a book in a standard format, using the same specific font, page size and number of pages. The participants were free to use any medium such as text, poetry, found footage, photography, drawings etc. Contributors were encouraged to use a broad variety of different (artistic) languages. paysages. Ce sont généralement des images montrant une représentation de moi-même, seule et centrée dans un paysage nordique, qui regarde droit devant elle. Ces photographies sont créées avec des outils analogiques : un appareil photo moyen format, de la pellicule 120 mm et un déclencheur à distance manuel avec fil. Ces images sont réalisées au gré de mes déplacements dans différentes régions du Québec. En effet, durant les cinq dernières années, j'ai intentionnellement vécu en mouvement, alternant de manière cyclique de lieux de vie entre Montréal, Natashquan, Baie-Comeau, l'Île d'Anticosti et Fermont. Ma pratique de l’autoportrait vise à évoquer la narration fictive de l’être en mouvement. J’amplifie cette idée par l’autoportrait dans le paysage, dans l’errance, dans l’impermanence. La photographe dans l'image, dans l'espace, raconte un territoire qui évolue dans le naturel du paysage et de l'intime. J'incarne l'éparpillement volontaire dans l'espace et dans l'image. Par quelles manifestations la présence et l’errance s’affectent-elles? Quelle est la nature des empreintes laissées par le mode de vie nomade? En quoi le sentiment d’identité est-il un mouvement, un processus où les conditions d’existence le changent et l’influent en simultanéité? Certaines de ces oeuvres photographiques on été présentées dans l’exposition individuelle&nbsp;Être dans ce qui s'en va (La Virée de la Culture Côte-Nord à Baie-Comeau (CA), 2018), en couverture du roman Le fond des choses&nbsp;de Thomas Desaulniers-Brousseau (Herbes Rouges, 2021), en couverture de la publication The Northern Forest (Laboratoire international de recherche sur l'imaginaire du Nord, de l'hiver et de l'Arctique de l’Université du Québec à Montréal, Collection Isberg, 2022) et dans mon essai&nbsp;Un grand froid l’accompagne&nbsp;(Cigale, 2020).
